Jan Ogurcak joined the grant writing team after retiring as Director of Public Programming and Outreach at the World of Little League Museum, where she was part of the team overseeing its $1.4 million renovation. Jan was instrumental in organizing special exhibits, including those from NASA and the Smithsonian, and acquiring grant funds for programming, tourism, and operations. She authored “World of Little League,” a book sharing the stories behind many of the museum’s artifacts.

She specializes in developing grants for First Responders. She has assisted in obtaining funding for Police, Fire, and EMS agencies throughout Pennsylvania.

She has been working in grant development for more than 20 years.

Jan traveled with the Lycoming County Visitors Bureau to promote county attractions to vacationers from the Midwest, Northeast, Mid-Atlantic states, and Canada. An adjunct communications instructor at Lycoming College, Jan served as advisor of The Lycourier, an award-winning student newspaper, the Lycoming College Inline Hockey Club, and the founding advisor of Iota Mu, Alpha Xi Delta. The college awarded her the “Advisor of the Year” award.

As a news reporter and editor at the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, she wrote articles of local, state, and national significance. She earned awards from the American Cancer Society, the American Red Cross, and the Lycoming County Conservation District, among others.

Jan graduated from Penn State University and was a member of Sigma Delta Chi, a professional journalism society.

She was a member and secretary of the International Sports Heritage Association. She oversaw the group’s conference when it was held in Williamsport. Jan, a coordinator of the Historical Organizations of Lycoming County, was affiliated with several state and national museum organizations. She was honored as “Woman of the Year” by the Williamsport Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association.
