BRIDGET C. KANE
VP of Grant Administration

Bridget C. Kane’s primary responsibility is grant administration. She also excels at writing, research, and community outreach.

She has been working in grant development for more than 20 years.

A graduate of the University of Maryland with a master’s degree in sustainable development and conservation biology, she also earned both a B.S. degree in wildlife ecology and conservation and a B.A. in anthropology from the University of Florida.

Kane held various positions at the Susquehanna Greenway Partnership, managing the non-profit’s outreach and education efforts, fundraising activities, and volunteer programs. She was also very involved with the partnership’s River Town program, which assists communities with identifying recreational, historic, cultural, and economic revitalization and development projects.

Previously, Kane held various roles with the Potomac Conservancy, where she managed the River Center at Lockhouse 8 along the C&O Canal, researched stormwater issues, monitored conservation easements, and assisted with development activities. She also served in the Peace Corps in Madagascar, where she worked on sustainable agriculture projects, community development, environmental outreach, and education initiatives.

Kane serves as an objective, third-party reviewer for the Wildlife Habitat Council’s Conservation Certification program, which recognizes meaningful wildlife habitat management and conservation education programs. She also serves as Special Projects Coordinator for the Northcentral Pennsylvania Conservancy, assisting with membership and development programs and other special projects.

Bridget C. Kane’s commitment to community service is inspiring. She volunteers with the Heart of Williamsport, the YMCA, the YWCA, and various other community organizations. Her nomination as a 2022 YWCA Northcentral PA Women of Excellence in the Advocacy category is a testament to her dedication.
